AMENDMENT

 aMENDment

As a kid,
people would always see me
as one of the troubles—
but they've just never understood
my thoughts, my poems, and drabbles.

They never saw me as a child,
as one of the men of the future.
A person that may become a leader,
the one who'll have the drive to nurture.

Now, I've grown up—
I did my own healing and mending bruises.
Believing that someday the world would change,
uplifting the youth to win while accepting losses.
