A REVIEW ON: YAWA

This zine has no fixed title but was tagged as "women empowerment." Aj Mabuyao is an advocate and this is the one she highly supports. Even before, the time we were just online friends, her pieces are about women and I'm grateful that I'm part of this wonderful project. Prepared for almost a year and just a month before we came up with the title. It was long ago when I knew about this word and its truth, glad that she has the idea also then Yawa is born.

Dadayo sa Lungsod ng Tacurong, Probinsya ng Sultan Kudarat ang ating mga NATATANGI at ang kanilang nga likhang sining upang ipamalas ang husay ng SOX Writers at pagyabungin ang SOX Literature.

Idinadaos ang SOX Zine Festival taon-taon upang magbigay ng plataporma sa indie at lokal na mga manunulat at/o mga pablisyer upang maibahagi sa paraan ng pagbebenta ang kanilang produktong literatura. Sa taong ito ay pinangunahan ang piyesta ng pangkat na Tridax Zines , sa pakikipagtulungan ng Sarangani Writers League at Maratabat: MSU-Gensan Writers Guild —suportado rin ng National Book Development Board - Philippines at Aklat Alamid .

About the Author 🖊️

Si Apple Joy S. Mabuyao, PoisonousGin, ay isang manunula(t) na ipinanganak sa Lungsod ng Heneral Santos. Bente-tres anyos na gradweyt sa kursong Bachelor of Education major in General Education sa Mindanao State University GSC. Kabilang siya sa iba't ibang lokal at onlayn na grupo sa pagsulat. Ilan dito ay ang SOX Writers Collective, Words by the South at MakataPH. Nagsimula siyang sumali sa mga patimpalak sa pagsulat ng tula at prosa sa edad na labim-pito gulang hanggang sa nagkaroon ng oportunidad na maisali ang kanyang mga akda sa Antolohiya ng Novelistas, Quattro Tagalog Stories, at iba pa. Gayunpaman ay kasalukuyan niya pa ring hinahanap ang kaniyang boses sa pagsusulat sa pagsali sa writing workshops at literary events.
