Moment of Truth

I opened my wallet and pulled out a calling card. Dialed the number.

*ringing*

"Hey bro, long time no call. Kumusta?" Mico on the phone.

"Ayos lang naman kahit medyo kinakabahan. Five days na lang, magiging Mrs. Santa Ana na ang kapatid mo." Patawa akong sumagot sa kaniya.

"Oo nga e. Excited na akong maging kapamilya ka and in a few more days, you'll both hook up forever and ever." Tinukso niya ako.

"Baka gusto mo, we'll both hook up?" 

"Haha! Loko, bagong buhay na pre. Haha! Sige na, pauwi na rin ako. I'll make sure na nandoon ako sa wedding n'yo ni Micah." He sounds so happy, but... 

"Yah! Sige, ingat bro." I bid him goodbye.

Napaupo ako sa sofa, opened my wallet and inserted the card. 

Suddenly.

"Hey Fern!" Miccah arrived from their party.

"Yah Honey?" Sumagot ako habang nakatitig pa rin sa litratong nasa pitaka ko.

She went near to me and tried to see what I am looking at. "Hon? Who's that? Lasing lang ba ako or that's..."

"Yeah! He is and we know we've made the right choice."
