Quote: "Most of the
basic material a writer works with is acquired before the age of fifteen."

#EEEQuotesToInspire
I think the span of age
mentioned by Willa Cather is not the literal span of age but the moment in a
writers life, the time that you are still able to do things easy, still have
strong memory, physically and mentally healthy and etc. This is a moment that
we are still not infected with those viral sickness and exposed to toxicity of
this writing world.
William Cather just want
to say that if your guts tells you to be a good writer in the future, you must
start as early as possible. Things like knowledge and skills that you've
learned in your youth are things you mostly carry in your lifetime. As a
writer, this are the things that you will work with in your writings.
Even though you are already old when you decided to write, it is never too late. Again, it is a moment—learn and enhance your skills now, you are still punctual enough to start.
