Maybe we failed in your eyes
As your ate's and kuya's
For we sometimes became rude
And tried not to be bias.
Maybe we failed to make you see
That we always have the care,
Always willing to help, do things
For your good and welfare.
Maybe we built some issues
And had misunderstandings,
We failed to communicate
And create better bondings.
But I hope you would see
This simple job that we do,
We are implying responsibility
And discipline to you.
I hope that you will hear
The smiling side of our anger,
Read our words as advices—
See us as your father and mother.
Who always wanted the best,
All that college life can give.
Storing wisdom and knowledge,
You may keep even after we leave.
Maybe you won't understand today
But someday, I know you'll do.
These words and actions in the future
Are surely beneficial to you.
[Being a leader is not as simple as commanding or to rule, but molding subordinates for them to be an asset and full. Not to be fooled.]
